Dr. Swavey has over 30 years of research experience in the area of organic and inorganic synthesis, spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and molecular biology. He has been a member of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Dayton since 2002. His research spans the areas of developing small fluorescent molecules (SFMs), dye sensitized solar cells, photodynamic therapy, and electrocatalysis.
