Temperature-sensitive europium complexes of 1,10-phenanthroline-bis{tris[4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-thienyl)butane-1,3-dionato]-europium(III) may be used to fabricate a dual optical sensor to detect oxygen and any change in temperature. This product may be used in the preparation of porphyrin–Eu-β-diketonate supramolecular nanostructures, and in the fabrication of silicon wafers grafted with europium complexes.
