Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cell Biologist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to advance our R&D efforts, focusing on cellular models, assay development, and experimentation. This role requires a hands-on, creative scientist with a passion for innovation, who can thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute cell-based experiments, including cell culture, maintenance, and optimization of cellular models.
Develop and implement in vitro assays to evaluate cellular responses to various treatments, compounds, or genetic modifications.
Collaborate with molecular biologists, biochemists, and other scientists to support the advancement of product development pipelines.
Analyze and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.
Contribute to the development of new methodologies and technologies in cellular biology.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cell biology and related fields.
Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field; Master's degree with significant industry experience will also be considered.
2-5 years of experience in cellular biology, preferably in a biotech or research setting.
Strong expertise in cell culture techniques, including primary and immortalized cell lines.
Experience with various cell-based assays (e.g., viability, proliferation, cytotoxicity, etc.).
Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., gene editing, transfection, PCR, Western blotting).
Familiarity with microscopy, flow cytometry, and other cellular analysis techniques.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project demands.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-throughput screening and automation.
Familiarity with drug discovery, regenerative medicine, or tissue engineering.
Knowledge of bioinformatics tools or computational biology for data analysis.
